New projects of Uzbekistan on efficient use of water resources

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave the order to build 10 mudflow reservoirs to improve irrigation of 50 thousand hectares of land.

Uzbekistan will continue concreting canals to reduce water losses, allocating 800 billion soums for this in 2025. The President proposed building micro hydroelectric power plants by increasing the flow rate in concreted canals.

Construction of reservoirs to improve irrigation of 50 thousand hectares of land in Uzbekistan

  • President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave the order to build 10 mudflow reservoirs to improve irrigation of 50 thousand hectares of land. This was reported by the presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov.
  • The head of state held a meeting on the efficient use of water and energy resources in agriculture. The meeting discussed the collection and use of spring and autumn flood waters for irrigation.
  • “For example, 36 million cubic meters of water are annually wasted inefficiently from the stream flowing through the mahallas of “Honnazor”, “Chorlok”, “Kurgon”, “Shovona” and “Kiykim” in the Koshrabat district,” the president noted.
  • According to him, if a small reservoir is built here, it will be possible to develop 2.5 thousand hectares of land, provide the population with new plots for intensive vegetable cultivation, employ 4 thousand unemployed people and lift 600 families out of poverty.
  • The construction of such reservoirs in the Kashkadarya, Namangan, Surkhandarya and Tashkent regions, as well as in nine districts of Fergana, will improve the irrigation of 50 thousand hectares of land.

Based on the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan on the construction of 10 mudflow reservoirs and concreting of canals, the BTBS plant carried out the following work:

  1. New types of PBG slabs (slab flexible concrete)
  2. Product certification has been completed.
  3. A durable concrete mix composition has been selected for use in aggressive environments.
  4. Internal technical documentation for the PBG product has been developed.
  5. Applications have been submitted for the invention of PBG slabs.

Scope of PBG slabs

Intended for the construction and strengthening of the banks of artificial and natural watercourses and reservoirs, strengthening the slopes of road embankments, strengthening the slopes of protective and regulatory structures, for the protection of underwater pipeline crossings, protection of the bottom of port water areas, additional protection of cable routes laid through water barriers, construction of temporary flood protection fortifications, protection of dam crests and dams from erosion during overflow, construction of canals.

Advantages of PBG slabs

  • The ability of the coating to take the shape of the protected surface without additional bending moments;
  • Flexible concrete coating can be laid on the protected surface without preparation, directly on the ground;
  • The coating design has sufficient deformability, ensuring its tight fit to the ground, which minimizes the volume of water under the coating, which can migrate from areas with increased pressure to adjacent areas;
  • The use of synthetic materials as reinforcement eliminates the destruction of flexible slabs due to corrosion;
  • All coatings are factory-made, which reduces the cost of installation work and allows you to monitor the quality products.
  • Certified products manufactured in factory conditions at specialized plants under strict quality control and representing finished products, do not require additional operations at the place of their use.
  • Resistant to ice impacts, impacts of driftwood, objects carried by the current and other mechanical impacts;

Ease of installation, loading and unloading.

The ability to store products in stacks outdoors without loss of quality; Laying due to the flexibility of the design, which allows you to install products on virtually any ground relief with a minimum amount of labor and equipment. Application for the vast majority of objects that require protection; Possibility of reuse.

Characteristics of PBG

  • Length - 2240 mm.
  • Width - 1050 mm.
  • Height - 100 mm.
  • Concrete class - B40

Reinforcement made of polypropylene rope with a breaking force of 5000 kg.

*Can be manufactured according to customer dimensions.
